K-4 filling at the Rural Water Supply Class
Watch the video at about the 1:50 mark when the tanker is full. We were filling at a rate around 1,200 gpm. We were able to work our skills up to provide constant flow of 507 gallons of water per minute at the simulated fire ground. Thanks to everyone and Luck Stone for allowing us to use their site.
Powhatan Rural Water Supply Class K-1 Dumping
Rural Water Supply Class. Running K's 1 (2500 gal), K-2 (1800 gal), and K-4 (1800) in a two mile shuttle we were filling at a rate between 1,200 and 1,300 gpm. We started out averaging a constant flow of 250 gpm. After the firefighters ran through a few evolutions enhancing their skills we kept working our way up and were able to provide a constant flow of 507 gallons of water per minute. Great Job By All. Thank you to Luck Stone for allowing us to use their site keeping the rigs off the main road and allows us to operate in a safe area.
