On Saturday morning around 6:30 Engine 1 was tapped out for a reported vehicle accident and the vehicle on fire in the 2600 Block of Academy Road.  Engine 1 arrived to find one person out of the car and the car well involved in fire.  Volunteer Firefighters stretched and charged a hose line in 28 seconds and was attacking the fire.  Other firefighters checked the driver to find he had minor injuries and refused treatment.  Engine Company 1 operated on scene for about 45 minutes before they took up.
